Restorative Yoga with Sheelagh (Saturdays at 11:30)

Restorative Yoga with Sheelagh (Saturdays at 11:30)

Restorative yoga, suitable for practitioners of all levels, is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly.

When your body enters a state of relaxation, your mind can also consciously relax as tension melts away. The only work required during a restorative yoga practice is to pay attention to your breath, become aware of any sensations or thoughts that may arise, and then gently release them.

These classes are beneficial during cancer treatment and in the recovery period afterward.

Dates:

September 20 and 27 at 11.30am

Please note there will be no classes on September 6 and 13.

The classes, run by Sheelagh are held at the physiotherapy centre - Kinésithérapie Lenoir & Schäfer, 34, rue du Grünewald, L-1646 Senningerberg.

We recommend you wear comfortable clothing and warm socks

Limited to a maximum of 9 places

Should the class be showing as full, please send an email to Geraldine at info@thinkpinklux.com and she will let you know if someone cancels.

TPL Community Gatherings

New year and new beginnings

As we slide into this New Year, with the darkest of days behind us, may 2025 bring us peace, hope, healing, strength and courage.

For 2025’s first edition of the TPL Community Gatherings, we invite you to join us with some special guests:

  • Carrie Cannon, co-founder of Think Pink Luxembourg, health professional & nurse and

  • Dr. Torsten Bohn from Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH). Dr. Bohn is a food chemist and nutritionist by training. He is currently heading the Nutrition and Health Group at the LIH, in the Department of Population Health.

Together we will hear from these two professionals about food, nutrition and health.

The event will commence at 18:30 at the Meliá Luxembourg with a panel style set of questions. We encourage you to prepare your own thoughts on food and well-being and we welcome you to share any queries and experiences.

Join us for an exciting conversation around health and nutrition.

Please Register here by Friday 24 January
