You Are Not Alone
A cancer diagnosis changes everything — for the individual, for families, for colleagues and for friends.
Think Pink Luxembourg exists to ensure that no one faces that journey alone. We connect, inform and mobilise our community so that individuals and families can respond with strength, clarity and support.
If You Have Received a Diagnosis
Every diagnosis is personal. Every response is different.
Our role is not to replace medical care — it is to strengthen the community around you.
Community & Connection
Cancer can be isolating. Community reduces that isolation.
Through our events and activities, we create opportunities to:
Connect with others who understand what you are experiencing
Engage in positive, constructive activities
Be part of a wider movement working toward better outcomes
Participation is always voluntary, always respectful, and always community-led.
Building Resilience
A diagnosis often brings uncertainty. Information and routine can help restore a sense of control. Through its informational resources and its weekly health-promoting activities Think Pink Lux aims to
Increase understanding
Encourage constructive dialogue
Promote healthy, supportive routines
Foster a sense of shared purpose
We believe informed and engaged communities are stronger communities.
Supporting Research
Many individuals and families want to respond actively to diagnosis by contributing to progress. Through its Marian Aldred Award, Think Pink Lux allocates funding funds to support fundamental research here in Luxembourg, and to promote the development of next generation of graduate level scientists (M:Sc. or Ph.D.) aimed at:
Improving understanding of cancer
Advancing treatment approaches
Strengthening long-term patient outcomes
By participating in our initiatives, you are helping to shape a future with better answers and better care.
For Families & Friends
When someone close to you receives a diagnosis, you may feel unsure how best to help.
You can:
Join community events
Support fundraising initiatives
Encourage open conversations
Help build visible awareness
Your presence matters. Practical support and community solidarity make a difference.
For Organisations & Professionals
Cancer affects workplaces, teams and institutions. Think Pink Lux works with organisations that want to:
Support colleagues appropriately and compassionately
Increase awareness within their teams
Demonstrate meaningful community engagement
Align corporate responsibility with real impact
We welcome partnerships that are thoughtful, long-term and values-driven.
Sport & Youth Communities
Sport has the power to unite, to inspire and to educate. Through partnerships, for example within basketball and ice hockey communities, we:
Build sustained awareness
Encourage youth engagement
Foster a culture of support across players, volunteers and families
By embedding awareness within sport, we help ensure that future generations grow up informed, compassionate and proactive.
How You Can Engage
Support is not passive. It is participatory. You could …
Take part in our events
Volunteer your time and expertise
Partner as an organisation
Contribute financially
Share our message within your community
Every action strengthens the network of support around those affected by cancer.
Our Commitment
Think Pink Luxembourg is committed to …
Respectful and inclusive community engagement
Long-term impact that strengthens both individuals and institutions
Transparency in how funds are raised and allocated
Together, we build a community that responds with solidarity, purpose and action.
Ready to get involved ?
Think Pink Lux has a new home, on the ground floor of 1 rue Pletzer, in Bertange (opposite Delhaize and HiFI International). The Centre is generally open for drop-ins a couple of times a week, and during the various activities that we run each week. Drop us a message or if you’re passing and we’re open, feel free to walk in for a chat.
Each week Think Pink Lux runs a variety of health related activities, including yoga, breathwork and meditation, strength building and simple social gatherings at the TPL Centre in Bertrange.
Thanks to its growing team of volunteers, Think Pink Lux runs events throughout the year, of course the Race for the Cure and the ING Night Marathon, but many other fund raisers, purely social events, information events and lots and lots of October Rose events. The TPL Board, the Committee and Team give life and heart to our Community.
Think Pink Lux welcomes organisations and institutions who wish to engage meaningfully with the issues raised by cancer. Whether through sponsoring an event, building a longer-term partnership, or developing an innovative new collaboration, we are open to values-aligned initiatives that deliver genuine and measurable impact.
