FOR YOU, FOR ME, FOR EVERYONE
Think Pink, Walk Pink, Run Pink
Race for the Cure 2022
23 October 2022
What’s it all about?
The Race for the Cure® is the world's largest and most successful education and fundraising breast cancer event ever created. Once again, ThinkPinkLux in collaboration with ThinkPinkEurope will be organising a Race for the Cure® in Luxembourg. The event is a non-competitive walk or run to celebrate life, show support to survivors and remember those who are unfortunately no longer here. Getting out on the day, walking or running is the easy bit, harder is that participants are required to raise funds for projects in research, education or that directly support those with cancer. Funds raised in Luxembourg will remain in Luxembourg and go towards our research project at the Luxembourg Institute of Health.
How to participate- connect, move, care, share.
The Luxembourg Race for the Cure® is a 6km run or 3km walk for anyone. You win simply by taking part on the day, wearing as much PINK as you can muster and sharing your photos. You can participate as an individual or in a team.
Registration @ €20 per person, €5 for child from 6-17 years
Register as a team
Teams are the heart and the soul of the event. A team can be as big as you want and should be a minimum of 10 participants. However, you will need to follow social distancing guidelines so bring on the creativity.
Register as a Team Captain and create your team. Recruit your team through Email, social media or in person but contact everyone you know and invite them to participate and fundraise with you. Motivate your friends, family and colleagues. Invite sports teams, business associates, survivors, children, special interest groups, neighbours, the young and the old, the more the merrier. Each team member chooses whether to walk or run. Once registered it’s time to start fundraising. The team can raise funds together or team participants can raise funds individually.
You only pay €20 per adult, €5 for child from 6-17 years
It’s fun to be in a team
Every Euro you raise makes a difference
As a team you make a bigger impact
Register individually
Register online and pay your fees in advance and enjoy a fantastic day! Children under 6 years old can participate for free.
T-SHIRTs
In the interests of the environment there will not be a new T-Shirt this year, please feel free to wear the one you had last year, a think pink shirt from a previous event or simply lots of pink.

VENUE - Echternach Lake (hopeFULLY)
Think Pink Lux really hopes a physical event can take place in Echternach at the lake. If not it will once again be a virtual run or walk taking place wherever participants want to complete the distance. People who sign up for virtual charity runs and walks register online and complete the mileage at their own convenience and wherever they live. Once they finish the "race," participants upload their results online. There are many beautiful and convenient places to run or walk in Luxembourg, in the city, towns, villages and countryside.
ThinkPinkLux is grateful for the warm support of the commune of Echternach where the first Luxembourg Race for the Cure® 2019 was held at the Lake at Echternach and also to Echternach Youth Hostel located at the lake. in these times of Covid19, this is still an ideal spot to run or walk. The youth hostel will be open to stay, for food and drink on all the days and staff will be ready to welcome you should you feel like stopping by. Covid restrictions may be in place.
