We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Her Excellency, Alice Walpole, the British Ambassador to Luxembourg for hosting what turned out to be a wonderful evening of relaxed charm and frivolity. The world renowned tenor, Mark Le Brocq and his accompanist Andrew Smith, entertained us with their many, many songs of delightful romance, sometimes ardent, sometimes gentle and often just funny, in almost all languages (although sadly not Luxembourgish!) and with their very own flair. We would also like to thank the event's other main sponsors, Luxair and Bernard-Massard for their generous support which helped make such a success of the event.
But most of all, we would like to thank you, the guests who provided Mark and Andrew with such a warm welcome, and helped make the evening a real success.
The funds raised by the evening will go directly to the Marian Aldred Award, which is now for the 3rd year, funding fundamental research into cancer drugs being undertaken here in Luxembourg by a PhD student supervised by Dr. Marc Diederich at the Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire du Cancer Fondation de Recherche Cancer et Sang (LBMCC) .
We would like to offer our sincere thanks to the staff and management of State Street Bank Luxembourg for their generous donation to ThinkPinkLux.
The €1,830 raised by the staff during State Street's Wellness Day in January 2015 will contribute to the Marian Aldred Award which funds research and education here in Luxembourg.
Thank you State Street!
