ThinkPinkLux presented the ThinkPink Guide Living in Luxembourg with cancer based on the lived experience of women with cancer. A practical guide intended to be a vital resource to support women with cancer and those supporting them. First published in 2009, 2000 copies have been distributed for free but things have changed and it needed a rewrite and yes it will also be going digital.

The event, attended by Fleur Thomas British Embassy Luxembourg and Jean McDonald , contributers to the book, doctors, nurses, researchers and community members celebrated personal stories of resilience and the power of community support. A highlight was a presentation by PhD students Luxembourg Institute of Health
supported by ThinkPinkLux who shared their research findings which showed the importance of research in shaping better outcomes for patients.

We also heard from Jim Kent and Robert Liebl about the new men’s group they lead to support men with cancer or those supporting a partner with cancer. As today is World Mental Health day, we are reminded of the importance of talking together.

At the heart of the mission of ThinkPinkLux is giving women a voice, providing resources and a strong network of care and this guide marks another step in our ongoing commitment to making a difference.

Relais pour la Vie 2023 has taken place, and we want to thank everyone who participated and supported ThinkPinkLux in raising funds for Fondation Cancer Luxembourg.

#Relais2023Lux was a family walk held in the beautiful Bambesch, and we were thrilled to see so many participants in pink supporting the cause. We also donated €1,000 to Fondation Cancer Luxembourg thanks to our supporters.

Thank you for making a significant impact, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in the fight against cancer.
